the son of friends visiting from the west coast last summer had never seen a true prairie thunder storm. luckily one blew up while they were here. the mom and i went out past the bush to the end of the field to check out the action and we were both in awe of the sights. i turned to see that the little fuzzies of her hair were all standing straight up! i giggled and asked her if mine were ... and they were! we both got the giggles and headed back to the house to tell the boys. we laughed as we retold the tale ... but my husband wasn't laughing ... he said "that the first sign that you are about to be struck by lightening" ... gulp! we stayed on the porch ...
