A Memory For Monday

From the archives of the Library of Congress comes this series of photos of America between 1939-1943

If you missed part 1 or part 2, they can be found on my 11/28/11 and 12/5/11 posts.

In this set are some of my favorites:  women working while the men were at war and a couple shots of soldiers.

  8. I like the Rosie The Riveter. My son was telling me about a video Hell on Wheels. He said it was about the building of the railroad all across the country. Gonna look it up.

My Photo
I love God, my family and friends, animals and, while I know I shouldn't love "things", I love my home. I'm not fond of the color pink unless it's the work of Mother Nature (apparently not a popular opinion in 'blog land'), I DESPISE whining, I won't allow beets anywhere in my home or garden, and I don't understand why humanity can't play nice and share. -->PS. This blog is not Switzerland; I'm neutral in nothing. :)
